part_2_1.pngMid-to-older Ages

To comprehensively understand the varational patterns of metabolites assessed at different ages across mid-aged to elderly individuals, we employed locally estimated scatterplot smoothing (LOESS) regressions. These regressions were carefully fitted to metabolite data spanning the age range from 40 to 70 years.
By utilizing LOESS regressions, we aimed to visually capture the trends and variations in metabolite levels during aging, allowing to gain deeper insights into the dynamic changes in metabolite profiles. Subgroups of female and male analysis were performed as well. The analysis were performed through built-in function“loess” in R.
